COMMENTS:
The prison epistles: Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon are all centered on some aspect of Christ and His work. They are called 'Christocentric'. Ephesians deals with no specific problems. It is often thought this epistle was meant to be a general circular epistle to be read by all the churches. Chapters 1-3 look at Christian Concepts (Doctrine), Chapters 4-6 at Christian Conduct (Practice). In Chapter 6 Paul encourages believers to put on the 'whole armor of God'.
