A message from a former president

CannonTHE BEREAN WAY (Acts 17:10-12) “The brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.”

There are many conflicting social, spiritual and moral messages in the world today. Some are misinformed, others misleading, and unfortunately, some, just plain error. How can you separate the wheat from the tares? How can you know the truth? The Bereans show us how. First,

THEY SEARCHED FOR TRUTH WITH AN OPEN HEART ‘these were more noble than those…’

‘More noble’ is an indication of the Berean’s character. They had a heart for truth, and wanted to see God’s plan for themselves. It was essential for them to see how God’s word verified what they were told. If you want to see God’s plan for you, let us help. Also,

THEY SEARCHED FOR TRUTH WITH AN OPEN MIND ‘with all readiness of mind’

The Bereans had a ‘ready mind’, an eager mind. They wanted to know. The bible is a gold mine of truth that is eagerly embraced by those who really want to know God’s will. Baltimore School of the Bible can help you know, as you study and fellowship with us. And, very importantly,

THEY SEARCHED FOR TRUTH WITH AN OPEN BIBLE ‘searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so’

Our text tells us they ‘searched the scriptures daily’. Investigation, examination, and scrutiny are all part of the search for truth. The bible is where truth is found. It is not subject to the ever changing opinions of man. Baltimore School of the Bible is a bible based ministry. Let us help you see how God’s word works in your life.

An open heart, an open mind, and an open bible are how to discover God’s truth. Come and strengthen your spiritual walk at BSOTB. We look forward to sharing the journey with you.
